Carbon man victim of phone scam
A Carbon County man has reported he has been scammed out of $2,000.
State police at Lehighton said a 28-year-old man from Bowmanstown reported that he received a call allegedly from IRS agents which resulted in him sending them the money. The location and identity of the callers is unknown, troopers said.
The incident was reported on April 23 at 2 p.m.
