DUI arrests reported

State police at Fern Ridge reported on two driving under the influence arrests.

On April 23 at 12:25 a.m. troopers stopped April Marie Yurkonis, 36, of Frackville, along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County, after she was observed driving in an unsafe manner. She displayed signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. She was taken to the barracks, where she submitted to a breath test. Charges were filed.

Benjamin Paterson, of Long Pond, was stopped for an equipment violation at the intersection of routes 903 and 534 in Kidder Township, Carbon County, on April 25 at 2:39 a.m. He showed signs of impairment and submitted to field sobriety tests. He submitted to a preliminary breath test that indicated he was over the legal limit, troopers said.
