DUI arrests
State police at Lehighton reported on two driving under the influence arrests, one at a checkpoint operation.
Tadeusz Teddy Gjondla, 52, of Whitehall, was cited at 4:28 p.m. May 3 at the intersection of Long Run Road and Forest Street in Franklin Township.
Troopers responded to a report of a one-vehicle crash. As a result of an investigation, Gjondla, involved in the crash, was arrested for DUI.
At 7:30 p.m. Friday, troopers were conducting a checkpoint operation at Indian Hill and Long Run roads in Franklin Township.
Michael Patrick Quinn, 32, of Philadelphia, entered the checkpoint operating a 2014 Honda CRV. A further investigation led to Quinn being arrested for suspicion of DUI. Charges were filed.
A passenger with Quinn, Patrick Thomas Walker, 31, of Exton, Chester County, was found to have in his possession controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Drug charges were filed.
