Schuylkill driver in Lehigh crash

A Schuylkill County driver was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Lehigh County in which the other driver was cited.

State police at Fogelsville said the crash occurred at the intersection of Route 309 and Mountain Road, in Lynn Township, on Sunday at 6:18 a.m.

Troopers said Nicole M. Kerecz, 30, of Slatington, was driving a 2007 Jeep Wrangler and entered the intersection without clearance.

Daniel J. Kowalski, 35, of Tamaqua, driving a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am, attempted to avoid the Wrangler but couldn't and the two vehicles collided in the intersection. After impact the Wrangler left the road and traveled into a grassy area. The Pontiac came to rest in the intersection.

Kerecz and her passenger, Christopher B. Bolbat, 31, of Hellertown, and Kowalski, were all not injured.

Troopers cited Kerecz for a stop sign violation.
