Schuylkill man assaulted, robbed
Police are looking for two black men accused of assaulting and robbing a Port Carbon, Schuylkill County, man early Sunday morning.
Walter Medina, 57, was walking along Pike Street, near Washington Street, in Port Carbon just before 2 a.m., when a dark-colored car pulled up near him, according to state police at Schuylkill Haven.
The suspects got out of the car and struck Medina on the head with their fists.
Police said $300 was stolen from Medina's wallet before the men got back in the car and fled north on Pike Street.
Medina walked to a convenience store to report the crime. He was treated at the scene for a cut on his head before being transported to Schuylkill Medical Center, S. Jackson St., in Pottsville.
