Carbon driver facing DUI count

A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident in Lehigh County.

Upper Macungie Township police said Peter McGuire Jr., 23, of Jim Thorpe, was stopped at 12:54 a.m. March 30 at Schantz and Independent roads for traffic violations. He showed signed of impairment and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

Police said charges have been filed.
