Citations issued in Nesquehoning

Nesquehoning police issued 11 motor vehicle code citations against individuals between April 16-20, including eight drivers who were cited for speeding.

The citations were written April 16, 17, 18 and 20. Six motorists were charged with traveling in excess of a 40 mph speed limit, having been clocked at 58 (three drivers), 62, 57 and 61 mph. While two operators were cited after being clocked at 79 and 81 mph in 55 mph speed zones.

The three other drivers stopped by police were cited for a stop sign violation, general lighting requirements and driving without a license.
