Support O'Gurek for commissioner

Dear Editor,

I have known Bill O'Gurek for many years. Bill coached CYO basketball with me, volunteering to help when I needed a parent to step up to the plate.

Bill is the type of person who will help when he sees help is needed without having to be told to do so. I know Bill as a man of strong faith and extraordinary family values.

In my opinion, Bill has served the Carbon County residents with dignity and diligence. Decisions made have been with the best interests of our county in mind.

He has guided us through a most tenuous economic environment.

Federal and state governmental mandates seem to place a severe financial burden on the county budget, therefore, difficult decisions have to be made.

We all make a multitude of decisions in our lifetime; many work out well, and some not so well.

I know Bill has made many more great decisions than those which did not go so well.

In the end, we learn from both the good and not-so-good moves we make.

In summation, Bill O'Gurek is a good person and commissioner who works hard every day to make our lives a little better.

I think Bill is an asset as our commissioner, and I hope he continues as such.
