Vehicle stop leads to arrest of two
A vehicle stop by Mahoning Township police led to the arrest of the driver and a passenger.
On April 4 at 12:05 a.m. township police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. When officers approached the vehicle they detected an odor of marijuana was coming from inside the car.
A blood test on the driver, identified as Alycia Hertzke, of Slatington showed the presence of Delta-9 Carboxy THC. As a result she has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence, and one count each of possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and general lighting requirements.
A passenger in the car, Tyler Rogers of Walnutport, has been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
