Three men cited in assault case
Three people were cited by Tamaqua police following a fight on May 14.
Steven Melnick, 54, of 254 Cedar St., Tamaqua, went to the police station at 2:23 p.m. to report that he had been assaulted by a neighbor and the neighbor's son. Melnick's face was red and swollen, with blood on both sides.
He said he had been beaten by Anthony Patrick Carlino Sr., 55, of 252 Cedar St., and Anthony P. Carlino Jr., 21, of 130 Hunter St.
Melnick was transported to St. Luke's Hospital-Miners Campus in Coaldale for treatment.
After completing the investigation, police cited both Carlinos and Melnick for harassment.
