Response to 'open letter'

Dear Editor,

An open letter to Susan Stamper Brown, "recovering political pundit from Alaska," whose "Open letter to Obama" ran in the May 26 Times News.

Really, Ms. Stamper Brown, is that the best you can do? Obama's agenda is "socialistic," and he's not a Christian because he supports same-sex marriage? The increasing class differences are his fault? His mentors are Bill Ayers and Pastor Jeremiah Wright?

Maybe you don't get much news up there in Alaska, but that is pathetic. If you want to criticize the president, talk about his inability to close down Guantanamo. Talk about his inability to shut down NSA snooping. Note his close cooperation with Republican elites to pass the fast-track trade bill. Discuss the fact that while 17 million more people now have health insurance, millions remain without coverage.

At least you didn't say he was a Muslim born in Kenya, or was that sentence cut by the editor?
