Tamaqua woman cited twice in same day

Published May 29. 2015 04:00PM

A Tamaqua woman was cited twice in the same day for domestic disturbances.

Tamaqua police were dispatched to 10 Cherry St. at 7:51 a.m. on May 22. They were met by a 15-year-old male, who had a bloody nose. The teen said he was struck in the face by his mother, Heather Pryce, 33.

When questioned Pryce admitted hitting the teen saying he refused to go to school and had pushed her while she was holding a baby in her arms.

She was arrested and arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, on charges of simple assault and harassment. She was released on her own recognizance.

At 12:20 p.m. officers returned to the home where Pryce was allegedly out of control and threatening to stab her children. At the home officers found Pryce crying, but she said everything was fine.

However, officers observed multiple scratch marks on her boyfriend, Michael Trevorah. When asked about the scratches, Trevorah said Pryce attacked him when he tried to leave her alone with the children.

She was again cited for simple assault and harassment.

Schuylkill County Children and Youth were notified of the situation.
