Schuylkill motorcyclist cited after crash

A Schuylkill County motorcyclist was injured, and then cited, following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 10:10 p.m. Friday along Route 125 in Pine Grove Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Ryan R. Stump, 31, of Pine Grove, was driving a 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa northbound when the bike left the road, causing Stump to lose control.

The bike entered a gravel parking lot along the east berm. Stump fell off the bike and it continued to travel northeast before striking a railroad tie, coming to rest facing northeast near a split rail fence.

Stump was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street in Pottsville by Pine Grove ambulance for treatment of moderate injuries, troopers said.
