Schuylkill burglary

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a burglary at a Schuylkill County residence that was reported on June 15.

Troopers said the victim arrived at his property at on State Road in Branchdale at 2:43 p.m. and observed a suspect loading scrap metal from his barn into the bed of a spray-painted black Dodge truck. The suspect saw the victim and fled into the nearby woods.

Upon closer inspection the victim realized that the black truck was actually his red Dodge truck that had been stolen from the property a week earlier and was repainted black. The suspect also stole the license plate from the victim's Chevrolet S10 pickup parked in a yard at the scene.
