Meed's Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, will offer a free community dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Please use the basement door. The menu this month is chicken fingers and french fries, drinks and dessert.

All are welcome.

Historical society

to meet

The Summit Hill Historical Society will meet tonight at 7 o'clock at the museum on West Ludlow Street.

Agenda items will include the Ludlow Park project, Hootenanny schedule, hoagie sale, bus trips and summer picnic.

New and inactive members are welcome to attend.

St. John's

Tonight at 7 o'clock St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will hold an informal worship: a spiritual, peaceful evening service with Holy Communion.

All are welcome to this relaxed, brief musical evening prayer. For all who wish to participate, beginning at 6, bring a sandwich or snack to enjoy during Bible study time.
