Two sought in Monroe burglary
Pocono Mountain Regional police are seeking two people who were involved in a burglary at a Monroe County business.
Police said at 2:50 a.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to the Kmart store in Mount Pocono for an automatic burglar alarm.
Upon arrival officers found a shattered glass door in the garden center. Officers entered the store and found the jewelry case had been smashed and a large amount of diamonds and gold were stolen.
A video surveillance camera was viewed and it showed two people had entered the store. One went to the jewelry case while the other wiped away muddy shoe prints from the floor. The suspect who went to the jewelry case was dressed in all black, carrying a black duffel bag. The other suspect was wearing dark-colored shirt and a light-colored pair of pants. Both then left the store through the shattered door.
