Schuylkill County crashes
State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating two crashes on Friday along Schuylkill County roadways.
A crash was reported at 11:05 a.m. along Route 443 in Wayne Township.
Troopers said Jack E. Casella, 25, of Schuylkill Haven, driving a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country, and was backing out of a private driveway while Dennis Bowers Sr., 68, of Pottsville, was eastbound driving a 2010 Jeep Liberty.
As Casella backed onto the road the rear of his Town & Country struck the right side of Bowers' Liberty.
Casella, Bowers and two passengers with him, Scott A. Hunlock, 27, and Ann Kroznuski, 67, both of Schuylkill Haven, were all not injured. Troopers cited Casella for vehicle entering or crossing a roadway.
The second crash was reported at 4:55 p.m. along Sweet Arrow Lake Road, also in Wayne Township.
Troopers said a juvenile female from Schuylkill Haven was driving a 2006 Nissan Altima westbound while Lyle H. Laubenstine, 79, of Schuylkill Haven, was eastbound in a 1990 Chevrolet 2500 truck.
Troopers said Laubenstine make a left turn in front of the juvenile and a collision occurred.
Laubenstine and passenger Donald M. Schwartz Jr., 43, of Schuylkill Haven, and the juvenile were all not injured.
Troopers cited Laubenstine for vehicles turning left.
