Mr. and Mrs. Berger married 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Wallace H. Berger of Lehighton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Aug. 29, 1964, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Jim Thorpe by the Rev. William J. Leifeld.

Mrs. Berger is the former Patricia Bretz, daughter of the late Jacob and Frances Bretz of Jim Thorpe. Her husband is the son of Pauline (Berger) Leindecker of Slatington and the late Wallace H. Berger Sr.

The Bergers have two daughters: Lori Nuss and her husband, Rico, of Hazleton; and Tami Breault and her husband, Herv, of Auburn.

They are also the grandparents of Kristin A. Hontz, Ammon D. Hontz, Shane Breault and Brent Breault.

The couple celebrated their anniversary at a dinner, hosted by their children.
