Support group

Blue Mountain Health System will offer a Stroke Support Group from 3 to 4 p.m. Aug. 27 in the second-floor Next Step Acute Rehab Unit Dining Room at the Gnaden Huetten campus, 211 N. 12th St., Lehighton. The speaker will be Denise Frey, a dietitian at BMHS, who will provide healthy eating tips post stroke. Topics vary each month.

Having a stroke is a life-altering experience. Support groups are a great way to meet other stroke survivors or caregivers who understand what you are going through. All stroke survivors and caregivers are invited to attend. The group meets the last Wednesday of the month.
