Heed unwritten hunting rules for buck season
To the Editor,
1. You shoot a deer, the deer runs to me and I kill it, it's mine. I'm not talking about a deer that is flopping around on the ground, but one that is standing.
2. When you come in to the woods in the dark and you see a flashlight flashing, that means someone beat you to it. Turn around and retrace your steps.
3. When you come into the woods during the day and you see orange, I beat you to it. Turn around and retrace your steps.
4. Don't come into my area and come tromping to my stand to have a ta-ta! I don't want to know you, "I'm deer hunting here!"
These rules are unwritten! You should have been taught them! Happy hunting!
Thank you
