Here are some fun facts for coffee drinkers and those who love them:
• 55 percent of coffee-drinking parents would be likely to "borrow" from their child's allowance if it were the only way they could have a cup of coffee that day
• Nearly 1 in 3 coffee drinkers say they could buy monthly groceries with the amount they spend in coffee shops each year
• 42 percent of coffee drinkers say that their last cup of coffee was more satisfying than their last "intimate experience"
• 59 percent of coffee drinkers agree that coffee drinkers are more attractive than non-coffee drinkers
• 57 percent of coffee drinkers can't imagine getting through at least one life experience without coffee like starting a new job (34 percent), moving (25 percent), college (22 percent), having a child (15 percent) and getting married (15 percent)
• Real coffee drinkers are only in a fog until their lips hit the java. Forty-four percent say their morning "officially" begins after they've had their first coffee
• On average, coffee drinkers think they gain 25 IQ points after they have a cup of coffee (14 percent think they gain 55 to 99 points)
• Over half of Americans (55 percent) agree that coffee drinkers are more social than non-coffee drinkers
• Coffee drinkers think coffee aids them in the following: Energy (32 percent); a sixth sense (29 percent); the gift of gab (18 percent); and super smarts (17 percent)
• 73 percent of Americans over 21 think a cappuccino would be more difficult to make than a martini (27 percent)
• 42 percent said they would most want a coffee shop attached to their home
• Americans said they might be more likely to make their coffee at home and save money if they felt they could replicate coffee shop-quality beverages. The drinks they most need help with? Cappuccino (56 percent), latte (52 percent), an espresso (46 percent) and iced coffee (30 percent).
