Summit Hill

Flag program

The Summit Hill Lions Club is continuing its American flag program. During the good weather months, the flag will fly in Ludlow Park in memory or honor of veterans from the community.

During the week of Sept. 29, the flag will fly in memory of the late Christy Lisella.

A graduate of the former Summit Hill High School, he was an Army veteran of the European and African theaters, having served with the 636th Infantry, 36th Division. He attained the rank of T-5.

Lisella was a grand marshal of the 2012 Summit Hill Memorial Day Parade.

Family members of veterans, or veterans themselves, can request to have the flag flown in honor or memory of any town veteran.

For more information, contact Joseph O'Gurek at 570-645-5171.
