Salem St Paul's Lutheran Church

The shelves at the local food pantry, PVEN, are bare and nonperishable food is needed. Put it in the barrel by the church office.

Clothing is also needed for PVEN, including infant and toddler snowsuits and winter coats, men's winter coats, boys clothes (especially jeans) size 4-18, men's sweat pants (all sizes) and T-shirts XL and XXL. Bring items to church and place by the food barrel.

Volunteers are needed to drive cancer patients to treatment through the Road to Recovery program, Monday-Friday, mornings and afternoons. All that is required is a good driving record, some free time, and the desire to help cancer patients in Monroe County. Drivers may use their own vehicle or one of two society vans. Safe Haven Pet Rescue

Safe Haven Pet Rescue will have a volunteer meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Cherry's Family Restaurant, Route 209 near Route 534, Kresgeville.

Volunteers are needed for adoption days, dog transport to veterinary and grooming appointments, fundraising, clerical help, home visits and more. Foster homes are needed in order to save more dogs.
