Hometown siblings earn honors

Local siblings Steven and Lauren Christ, children of Mark and Audrey Christ of Hometown, have been named to the dean's lists at their respective universities.

Steven, a junior class member at Lebanon Valley College, is majoring in music education and clarinet performance. He plans to travel to Ireland in the spring with the college symphony on a concert tour.

Lauren is a freshman student at West Chester University, majoring in communications. She earned a 3.94 grade point average for the fall semester. The Barbizon School of modeling graduate is also a member of the university's forensics competitive speech team.

Both students are graduates of Tamaqua Area High School.
