Credit defaults
Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC, Norfolk, Va., has filed a civil action against Betty Waxter, 807 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, alleging credit default.
The suit contends Waxter was indebted to GE Money Bank/GE Money Bank, F.S.B./J.C. Penny on Aug. 5, 2013, and has failed to make payment on the account that has a remaining balance of $1,182.32. Portfolio is seeking judgment in that amount, plus costs of the suit and other relief as the court deems just and reasonable.

The suit contends Lain was indebted to GE Retail Bank/General Electric Capital Corp./Lumber Liquidators, on Dec. 30, 2010, and has failed to make payment on the account that has a remaining balance of $1,638.95. Portfolio is seeking judgment in that amount, plus costs of the suit and other relief as the court deems just and reasonable.
Mortgageforeclosures
J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, N.A., Columbus, Ohio, has filed a mortgage foreclosure complaint against Kenneth G. Ahner, a/k/a Kenneth G. Ahner Jr., and Rhonda L. Hoffman, 1518 Long Run Road, Lehighton, over a property at that address.
The complaint alleges the defendants are in default of the mortgage as of Aug. 1, 2013.
The bank is seeking judgment in the amount of $74,343.92, plus interest, costs, fees and charges.
Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Fort Mill, S.C., has filed a mortgage foreclosure complaint against Brian D. Downs, 83 Sunrise Drive of Jim Thorpe, Sara Mariah Rose of Denver, Colo., and Pamela Belle Sandborn of Kingston, N.Y., over a property at 83 Sunrise Drive. The latter two defendants are enjoined as coexecutrix of the Estate of Shoshana Rothaizer, a/k/a Susan C. Rothaizer, a/k/a Susan Carol Rothhazier, deceased, whose last address was in Denver.
The complaint alleges the defendants are in default of the mortgage as of May 1, 2013.
The bank is seeking judgment in the amount of $61,618.26, plus interest, attorney's fees and charges.
OneWest Bank, FSB, Austin, Tex., has filed a mortgage foreclosure complaint against Katherine C. Krause, whose last known address is 523 Center St., Jim Thorpe, over a property at 77 Deer View Run, Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe.
The complaint alleges the defendant is in default of a mortgage executed Nov. 30, 2007, by Carl F. Krause, who passed away on March 31, 2013, leaving title vested to Katherine Krause.
Sought is judgment in the amount of $172,537.04 plus other costs and charges.

David Hydro, P.O. Box 82, River Road, Jim Thorpe, has filed a civil action against Ceairsta Swartley and Julie A. Swartley, 51 W. front St., Jim Thorpe, seeking motor vehicle tort damages.
The action, started by the filing of a writ of summons in which the specific details of the complaint are not yet listed, states Hydro is seeking money damages that are within the limits ($50,000) of arbitration established by the court.
Complaintin ejectment
Nationstar Mortgage, LLC, Lewisville, Texas, has filed a complaint in ejectment against Eugene J. Rawlings, 17 Drakes Creek Drive, a/k/a 17 Drakes Drive, Jim Thorpe, and any and all tenants or occupants of the said premises.
The complaint states Nationstar became the owner of the property by virtue of a sheriff's deed, and that the defendants have unjustifiably withheld and continue to withhold possession of the property from the plaintiff.
The complaint asks the court to grant immediate possession of the property to the plaintiff.
