Named to dean's list at Susquehanna Univ.

Four local students were named to Susquehanna University's dean's list for the fall 2013 semester.

The dean's list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Sarah Paluck, of Lake Hauto/Tamaqua, is a sophomore graphic design major. She is a 2012 graduate of Tamaqua High School and the daughter of Joseph and Lyn Paluck.

Laurel Seemiller, of Lehighton, is a freshman biology major. She is a 2013 graduate of Palmerton Area High School and the daughter of Joseph and Linda Seemiller.

Margaret Surdovel, of Slatington, is a sophomore music education major with a vocal emphasis. She is a 2012 graduate of Northern Lehigh High School and the daughter of Mary Surdovel.

Laura Walser, of Tamaqua, is a senior secondary education and Spanish major. She is a 2010 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and the daughter of Michael and Michelle Walser.
