Lutheran Church

Following are upcoming events and activities for St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 123 W. White St., Summit Hill:

On Sunday, April 13, Palm Sunday worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Vicar David Lembo presiding. Visitors are always welcome. Sunday school class will begin at 9 a.m.

Easter flower orders are due on this date also.

The Maundy Thursday service will be held at 7 p.m. April 17.

The Good Friday service will begin at noon on April 18.

A holy communion Easter worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 20.

Sunday school class will be having its annual Easter egg hunt during the regular class time.

Donations of small items or wrapped candy that will fit inside the eggs would be appreciated.

The class will be performing a short Easter skit during the worship

Shade Tree

Commission

The Summit Hill Shade Tree Commission will conduct its annual Arbor Day ceremony and tree plantings at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 26.

The ceremony and memorial plantings will be held in Ludlow Park at the gazebo.

This is the first of several events to take place in Ludlow Park this year to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the park.

Anyone interested in sponsoring a tree to be planted in memory or in honor of someone may call John Kupec at 570-645-9644 or Lou Vermillion at 570-645-9772 for information.

Trees will be ordered in mid-April.

Volunteers to help plant and clean up are always welcome as well as are any contributions to the Shade Tree Commission's efforts.
