Ascension Thursday

SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church will observe Ascension Thursday, a holy day of obligation on May 29. Masses will be said at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and 8 a.m. on Thursday.

Memorial Day Mass will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m., in the church. Cemetery services will be held at 10 a.m.

St. Peter's Union

Sunday worship services are held at 9 a.m. in St. Peter's Union Church, Mantzville. Sunday school classes are held at 10:15 a.m.

Also this Sunday, the Confirmation class will meet at 11:30 a.m.; Daisies and Brownies meet at 6 p.m.

Activities for next week include: Tuesday, prayer group meets at 5 p.m., Called to Care committee meets at 6 p.m.; Thursday, senior choir rehearses at 7 p.m.

Calvary Methodist

The Rev. Edward Bean will provide the message at a combined Memorial service this Sunday, at 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday in Zion's Church in the Lewistown Valley.

The service will be followed by a covered dish meal. Special music will be provided by the combined choirs.

On Thursday, May 29, Ascension Day services will be held at Zion's Church in Reynolds. A hymnsing will be held at 7:15 p.m., followed by the service at 7:30 p.m.

The Lewistown Valley Bible Vacation School will be held from 6 to 8:15 p.m. from June 9 through June 13 at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle.

The Bible school will include classes for children, ages 2 through sixth grade, as well as a teen class and an adult class.

A Child Evangelism Fellowship Day Camp, the Good News Camp, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 23-27, at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle.
