Feast of the
Ascension
Our Lady Queen of Peace offers several Mass times for the Feast of the Ascension, a Holy Day of Obligation.
Mass will be offered at 5 p.m. Wednesday, and at 8 a.m., 12:10 and 7 p.m. Thursday.

Chorus concert
The Pleasant Valley Intermediate School fourth-grade chorus concert is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Saturday matinee
Western Pocono Community Library will show "Ender's Game," which is rated PG-13, at 1 p.m. Saturday in the community room.

The West End Relay For Life event will be held from 10 a.m. Saturday to 10 a.m., Sunday at Pleasant Valley High School stadium in Brodheadsville.
Church cantata
Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church is hosting a cantata, songs and music, along with a potluck luncheon on Sunday immediately following worship.
This performance will feature the church's own Praise Team, the pastor, and a number of other churches, which have been well received at other participating churches.

The Chestnuthill Township Board of Supervisors will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday at the township building on Route 715 in Brodheadsville.
PVEN volunteer
picnic
The Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network will host its volunteer picnic at the Effort United Methodist Church Pavilion on Tuesday after PVEN closes for the day, which is around noon. All volunteers who help throughout the year, including with the toy drive, are invited to join the food and fellowship event.
Senior nutrition vouchers
Eligible West End Seniors of the Farmer's Market Nutrition Program can pick up their vouchers from 9 a.m. to noon next Wednesday at Chestnuthill Senior Center at Zion Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville.
