Summit Hill
St. Paul's Lutheran Church
On Sunday holy communion worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's. A church council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10.
The Altar Guild is taking orders for red geraniums to be displayed in the church for the Day of Pentecost on June 8 with a deadline to order of June 1. Contact Daryl Marshall at the church to order or send orders to the church at P.O. Box 55, Summit Hill.
May 18 was the last day for Sunday school classes until fall. Vacation Bible school information will be available in the near future.
Garbage pickup
Starting June 2, the new garbage pickup day for all of Summit Hill will be Tuesday. This includes the east and west sides of town, East and West White Bear Drive, Mountaintop Road, Laurel Drive and Knepper's Trailer Court.
Recycling will continue to be every other week, but will also be picked up on Tuesday.
Electronics will no longer be taken with the garbage.
Lansford
Teen movie night
The Panther Valley Public Library, Lansford, will hold a teen movie night in conjunction with its Summer Reading Program at 6 p.m. Friday, June 6. This event is open to teens age 13 and older.
