No matter who ends up running up and down the field, holding the Vince Lombardi trophy Sunday evening, you can be the real big winner.

You may not get a trip to Disneyworld out of the deal, but you are sure to garner the love and adoration of all those gathered around your heavily-laden buffet table and your big screen TV.

OK. Maybe not love and adoration, but your pals will go home satisfied with smiles on their faces; unless of course, their team loses.

Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest day for food consumption, after Thanksgiving, and we want to help you score big. Here are a couple winning recipes to help you kick off the big game.

Wings have become synonymous with the Super Bowl, and they don't have to be hot and spicy either.

This recipe for Oriental Wings is a big hit at my house. These wings not only make an annual appearance during the Super Bowl, but for New Year's Eve and at least one or two parties during the year.

My Taco Dip recipe goes way, way back. I got this from a friend in New Jersey, and it was so popular that party invitations used to be sent out with an asterisk at the end, denoting this dip would be served, which made me a very popular hostess.

Taco Dip

1 16-ounce container of sour cream

1 8-ounce block of cream cheese, softened

1 and one-half package of taco seasoning

1 cup salsa, drained if runny

1 cup shredded lettuce

One-half cup tomato, chopped

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

One-half cup black olives, sliced

Nacho chips

Mix sour cream, cream cheese and taco seasoning together with a mixer until combined and smooth. Spread into the bottom of a serving dish. (I used a 10-inch pie plate.) Top with salsa and spread to cover base. Then sprinkle on lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese and black olives.

Serve with nacho chips.

Oriental Wings

1 and one-half to 2 pounds chicken wings, tips removed and cut in half at the joint

1 quart oil for frying

One-quarter cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon sesame oil

One-half teaspoon sesame seeds

Dash of salt

Dash of pepper

Dash of garlic powder

Dash of red pepper, optional

Scallions, chopped

Heat to oil to 375 F. in a deep skillet or fryer and deep fry wings until cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.

Drain on paper towels, and then place wings into a large baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients, except for scallions, and coat wings.

Bake in a 300 degree oven for 30 minutes. Add scallions, and bake for 10 minutes longer.
