Historical Society to meet
The Summit Hill Historical Society will meet at the museum tonight at 7 o'clock.
The Lee Mantz Memorial Scholarships will be presented at the meeting.
Agenda items are the spaghetti dinner fundraiser at St. Gabriel's Club on Saturday, the anniversary of Ludlow Park rededication ceremony plans for 11 a.m. June 28, the Summit Hill Hootenanny, bus trips and future programs.
President Lou Vermillion will chair the meeting, which is open to all.

Second Harvest food bank
The Second Harvest food bank at Meed's Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St. in Nesquehoning is open to qualified residents of Nesquehoning, New Columbus and Hauto, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Free summer lunch
Meed's Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St. in Nesquehoning will again host its free children's summer lunch program from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, beginning June 23 and running through Aug 15, except for July 4.
The first week's menu is:
June 23: Grilled cheese sandwiches, applesauce, pudding or ice pops, drink
June 24: Hot turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, fruit, drink
June 25: Bag lunch of sandwich of choice, juice box, fruit
June 26: Chicken patty, buttered noodles, cucumber slices, peaches, drink
June 27: Fish sticks, tator-tots, carrots, applesauce, drink
