Summer worship times
Zion Lutheran Church, Brodheadsvile, has summer worship times at 5 p.m. Saturdays and at 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., Sundays, with Holy Communion celebrated at every worship service.
Sunday School is in recess for the summer.
Monroe Seniors
Meetings of the Monroe County Seniors who gather at Zion Lutheran's Fellowship Hall in Brodheadsville, take place at 9 a.m. Fridays and Wednesdays.
Family Night
Pleasant Valley Assembly of God, Brodheadsville, holds Family Night each Wednesday.

Blood drive
The Western Pocono Community Library, Brodheadsville, hosts a Miller-Keystone blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. every Wednesday.

All-Star Game
The West End Little League 12-year-old All Star team won its first game 18-0, playing against Pocono Mountain West. The next game is tonight at Slatebelt. The next is in Saylorsburg Playground on Monday, June 30.
The 9/10-year old games began in East Stroudsburg on Tuesday. The next game is Thursday at 6 p.m. in Saylorsburg Playground and the third game is Saturday at 11 a.m. also at Saylorsburg Playground.
The 11-year-old games are yet to be announced.
CJERP meets
The Chestnuthill-Jackson-Eldred-Ross-Polk Regional Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Chestnuthill municipal building in Brodheadsville.
School board
The Pleasant Valley School District Board of Education will meet at 8 p.m. Thursday.
Library events
The Western Pocono Community Library in Brodheadsville has Family Fun Day at 10:30 a.m. and a Saturday Matinee at 1 p.m. Saturday.
On July 2, weatherman Carl Kern will be on hand to discuss wild and wacky weather.

The West End Home Association in Gilbert is slated to meet at 7:30 p.m. July 2.
Coloring contest
With the approach of the Fourth of July, the Western Pocono Lioness Club is holding its Patriotic Coloring Contest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Chestnuthill Park Building.
Activities will include crafts, the coloring contest and letters to veterans.

Supervisors
The Chestnuthill Supervisors are slated to meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday at the township building on Route 715 in Brodheadsville.
Blood drive
Getz Personal Care Home on Jonas Road in Kresgeville, will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 1 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, July 3.

VBS at McMichaels
McMichaels UMC will hold Vacation Bible School from July 14 through July 18, beginning at 6:15 p.m. each evening. This year attendees are putting on the armor of God.
Andrea Santiago and Rachelle Shock will lead the VBS, helped by Tammie Candelario and Meridith Megna.
The children will learn all about salvation. Children ages 3 to grade 7 are invited to join the learning and the fun in classes complete with crafts, games, snacks and other activities.

The Western Pocono Lioness Club has announced that its Pleasant Valley High School scholarship winners are Kristine Adams and McKenzie Dorney.
VBS coming
Zion Lutheran Church will host Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, July 27, through Friday, Aug. 1. The theme is Workshop of Wonders Imagine and Build with God. The evening sessions will include Bible stories, crafts, games, snacks and fun.
