Daughter of Lehighton graduate sings at Lincoln Center
Audrey Dixon, 16, daughter of Sally (Reid) and Dan Dixon of Granger, Ind. performed in Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City on March 10.
She is the granddaughter of Ken and Marion Reid of Lehighton. Her mother is a 1983 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.
Dixon, an alto, and 94 other members of the Penn High School Symphonic Choir, participated in the Distinguished Concerts International production of "Carmina Burana" directed by Grammy winning director, Vance George.
Other participants in the production included choirs and vocalists from the United States and around the globe.
Dixon's choir had the opportunity to do some sightseeing over their four days in New York. They visited the 9/11 Memorial, Top of the Rock, had dinner with the cast members of the "Phantom of the Opera" and attended a Saturday night performance of "Newsies."
Her parents and grandparents all attended the concert.
Dixon is a junior at Penn High School, Mishawaka, Ind.
