Saucy survey for National Pizza Day

Today is National Pizza Day. In honor of this doughy occasion, the pollsters at National Today asked 1,000 Americans to share a "pizza" their mind about one of our favorite foods.

Did you know:

Only 2 percent of Americans don't like pizza, while 1 in 3 Americans eat pizza at least once a week. Of those regular pizza eaters, 22 percent say they can eat an entire pie by themselves.

The most popular toppings are:

1. Cheese (82 percent)

2. Pepperoni (66 percent)

3: Sausage (58 percent)

4: Mushrooms (53 percent)

5: Bacon (51 percent)

The top 5 brands are:

1. Pizza Hut (31 percent)

2. Papa John's Pizza (22 percent)

3. Domino's Pizza (17 percent)

4. Papa Murphy's (10 percent)

5. Little Caesar's Pizza (8 percent)

On a final note, 3 percent of Americans say they would rather eat a pizza than have a significant other.
