Lansford couple celebrates 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Stephen P. Orsulak of Lansford recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were united in marriage on June 15, 1963 at the former St. Michael Church in Lansford by Monsignor Joseph Baran.

The couple celebrated their golden anniversary at St. Katharine Drexel Church in Lansford (formerly St. Michael Church) with the Rev. Kenneth Medve, followed by dinner with their family.

Betty and Steve owned and operated the "My Place Restaurant" in Lansford for many years.

They have five children: Maria, wife of Joseph Klementovic, Palmerton; Joseph, husband of Kathleen Boyle, New Ringgold; Angela, wife of Mark Crain, Leesburg, Va.; Stephen, husband of Amanda Paranac, Barnesville; and Elizabeth, wife of Edward Shubeck, of Summit Hill.

They have four grandchildren: Lauren and Jared Klementovic, and Sophie and Corinne Orsulak.
