Area couple recognized for 70 years of marriage

A luncheon was held in honor of Clyde and Rose Mase of New Ringgold, who recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

The celebration was hosted by their children, Joan Seyler of Bath, Pa. and Frank Mase of Maine.

There were many family and friends there to wish them well at the luncheon, which took place at the Barnhouse Village in Bath.

In honor attendance was Myrtle Hoops, who was maid of honor for the couple on Jan. 5, 1943.

Also attending was state Rep. Marcia Hann from Northampton County, who awarded the couple a citation of honor from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

In addition to the couple's children, Clyde and Rose have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
