Summit Hill couple wed 71 years
Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Galgoci
Sylvester and Rose Galgoci of Summit Hill are celebrating their 71st wedding anniversary.
They were married on Aug. 8, 1942 at St. John Nepomucene Church in New York City by the Monsignor Krasula.
Mrs. Galgoci is the former Rose Babik, daughter of the late Charles and Magdalena Babik of Elmont, NY.
Mr. Galgoci is the son of the late Charles and Helen Galgoci of Lansford.
The couple has two daughters: Diane Brosius, wife of Jim Brosius of Frackville, and Janice Pitkin, wife of Bruce Pitkin of Coplay.
They also have four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The grandchildren's names are Joseph, Christopher, Carolyn and Lorraine.
The great-grandchildren's names are Nicky, Kyle, Joseph III, Christopher Jr. and Jordan.
