Lehighton couple marks 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Grover Moyer will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday. They were married Sept. 7, 1963 at Zion's Lutheran Church, Packerton, by the Rev. Kraft.

The former Nancy Zellner is the daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice Zellner of Lehighton.

Her husband is the son of the late Grover and LaRue Moyer, Palmerton.

The couple has one child, Beatrice, wife of Johnny Schafer of Lehighton. They have three grandchildren: Jan, the husband of Aprille; Jason and Johnny. They also have two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Amia Grace.

They will celebrate their golden anniversary with a trip later in the spring.
