Discover Bank, New Albany, Ohio, is seeking a judgment against Christopher Anderson, 227 Owl Creek Road, Tamaqua, alleging he owes $12,807.98 on his credit card plus interest and costs.
Divorces granted
Matthew M. Minolda was granted a divorce from Danielle G. Minalda, both of 717 W. Spruce St., Mahanoy City. They were married Aug. 16, 2003.
Ann Herring, Pottsville, was granted a divorce from Rodney Herring, Pine Grove. They were married June 27, 1996.
Sharon L. Emerich was granted a divorce from Jeffrey D. Emerich, both of Cressona. They were married Sept. 12, 1987.
Tiffany Krammes was granted a divorce from Steven Krammes, both of Schuylkill Haven. They were married July 8, 2000.
Jennifer M. Mihalsky, Saint Clair, was granted a divorce from Michael W. Mihalsky, Pottsville. They were married Oct. 20, 2007.
Heather A. Knoor was granted a divorce from Randy C. Knorr, both of Pottsville. They were married July 15, 1995.
Terry L. Meade was granted a divorce from Scott J. Meade, both of Pottsville. They were married May 8, 1999.
Samantha Barry, Branchdale, Branch Township, was granted a divorce from Thomas Barry, Valley View. They were marriede May 24, 2008.

Melissa M. Eifert, 22 Blue Mountain Drive, New Ringgold, started a divorce action against Daniel D. Eifert Jr., 30 Summer Mountain Road, New Ringgold. They were married April 2, 1988.
John Gursky, 97 Mahanoy Avenue, Tamaqua R.D., filed for divorce from Dorothy Gursky, 332 W. Mahanoy St., Mahanoy City. They were married Sept. 28, 1985.
James W. Justus filed for divorce from Joanne Justus, both of 748 Summer Valley Road, New Ringgold. They were married Sept. 3, 1994.
Revoke parole
Jeffrey Thomas Sartori, 25, Pottsville, had his parole revoked by Judge John E. Domalakes and he was recommitted to the county prison to serve the balance of his sentence with the maximum date extended to May 12, 2015. His 233 days on probation were dissallowed. Sartori pleaded guilty to retail theft last October and after serving one month in prison was released on parole.
Anddrew Jacob Kovalcik, 29, Frackville, had his parole revoked by President Judge William E. Baldwin and he was recommitted to the county prison with his maximum date for release extended. He received credit for serving 35 days but 170 days of liberty were disallowed. Kovalcik pleaded guilty last December to DUI of alcohol and after serving 48 hours in prison was placerd on parole
Mortgage debt
Green Tree Servicing, LLC, Saint Paul's, Minn., filed suit against Tammy Blew, last known address 25 Blevis Lane, Hometown, Rush Township, alleging she has defaulted on mortgage payments on her property and the principal balance is $44,011.16 plus interest and costs.
Bank of America filed suit against Michael Formica Jr. and Justine E. Keslon alleging they had defaulted on mortgage payments on property at 923 Third St., Oneida, East Union Township, and the principal owed is $19,294.74 plus interest and costs.
Sovereign Bank filed suit against Margaret Weaver, Leesport, and Desiree A. Weaver, Schuylkill Haven, alleging they had defaulted on mortgage payments on the property at 53 Knepper Road, West Penn Township, and the principal owed is $109,998.02 plus interest and cost.
Dissolve warrant
Lance Lane, 21, Mahanoy City, was brought into court on a bench warrant and after receiving a hearing before Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin the bench warrant was dissolved and bail reinstated with conditions: before release from prison the defendant must receive permission from the owner to live at 247 Schuylkill Avenue, Shenandoah Heights. Lane faces charges of pesistant disorderly conduct and public drunkenness filed by Mahanoy City Patrolman Robert J. Romanick.
Sues landlord
Deborah Sanborn, Pottsville, filed suit against 512 Centre St., LLC, 727 Meadow St., Allentown.
Her suit claims she was a tenant in a building at 602 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, allegedly owned by 512 Centre Street Company and on Feb. 20, 2013, while exiting the building she was caused to fall on ice and suffered a broken right ankle. She seeks damages in excess of $50,000 for experiencing physical and mental pain and suffering, loss of life pleasantries, embarrasment, and humiliation.
ARD revoked
Rachel Anne Rogers, 33, of 57 Lime KIln Road, Andreas, West Penn Township, after a hearing in court, was found by Judge John E. Domalakes to have violated the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program and her case was placed back on the criminal trial list.
She faces charges of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol. Rogers was placed in the program on July 26, 2012, to serve a probation period and had she completed the program her record would have been cleared.
Nichole L. Horack, 24, of 812 E. Patterson St., Lansford, was also removed from the ARD program by Domalakes and his case returned to the criminal trial list. He faces charges DUI of both alcohol and drugs. He was placed in the program in July 2012.
Modify warrant
After a hearing the bench warrant issued against Matthew Matalavage, 19. of 223 Market St., Tamaqua, was set aside by President Judge William E. Baldwin and the bail forfeiture was also set aside and new bail set at $1,000 straight cash or bond with a condition attached that he refrain from criminal activitiy.
A warrant for his arrest was issued last July 16 after he failed to appear before Senior Judge D. Michael Stine on a revocation hearing. Matalavage is awaiting trial on a number of charges.
School tax
Tamaqua Area School District filed a petition to court seeking to enter a judgment in the amount of $1,082.47 against the property at 2 Teaberry Lane, West Penn Township, owned by Lynford D. Kromer Jr. for alleged back school taxes.
Also, a petition was filed to enter a judgement in the amount of $2,674.83 on the property at 103 Mahanoy Avenue, Hometown, Rush Township, owned by Ruthann Miller.
Placed in ARD
Steven Reed, 45, of 275 Valley St., New Philadelphia, was admitted into the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program by President Judge William E. Baldwin for 12 months, pay a $350 assessment to defray cost of the program, pay $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, perform 10 hours of community service, and a $50 monthly supervision fee. If he successfully completes the program then charges of criminal attempt to commit theft, railroad vandalism on railroad tracks in Middleport Borough as brought by Sgt. Matthew A. Johnson ,Reading and Northern Railroad Company will be dismissed. The program is for first offenders.
Richard Robert Tomko, 38, Frackville, was also placed in the ARD program by Baldwin for 12 months, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA fund, a $50 monthly supervision fee, perform 20 hours community service, and make restitution of $6,320.78 to Mrs. T's Pierogie Ateeco Inc., Shenandoah. He was charged with theft of property delivered by mistake by Patrolman Laurie Dudash. The information filed to court claimed upon his termination by the company where he was employed his termination pay was exceeded what he was entitled to receive.
Dismiss charges
James Nahas, 47, no address, formerly of Coaldale, had charges of theft of coins from the property at 23 W. Ruddle St., Coaldale, dismissed because the victim no longer wished to prosecute, District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon told President Judge Willliam E. Baldwin, who entered an order of to dismiss the charges.
It was reported to court Nahas had completed treatment at the Salvation Army's Doing The Most Good Program.
