Mermon Ave. to close

Mermon Avenue in the Borough of Nesquehoning will be closed from Catawissa to Coal Street, beginning Monday, Aug. 5 through Friday, Aug. 9 in order to make repairs to the railroad crossing.

SHCIO meeting

The Summit Hill Community Improvement Organization will meet on Monday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m at the historical museum on West Ludlow Street. SHCIO meetings are open to the public.

Panther Valley High School 2013 yearbooks can be picked up from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 in Mr. Morgan's room, Room 114B, at the high school.
