Prayer Partners in the Park

Tonight at 6:30 p.m., Prayer Partners in the Park, a non-denominational group, will meet at Ludlow Park in Summit Hill to offer prayer, song and worship.

Anyone interested in meeting to pray for personal requests and to pray for the community and the valley are encouraged to attend.

People from all faiths are welcome.

Lansford

St. John Lutheran

Tonight at 7 p.m., St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will hold an informal worship. This will be a spiritual, peaceful, evening service with Holy Communion. All are welcome to this relaxed, brief, musical, evening prayer. A simple supper is offered at 6 p.m. followed by Bible study at 6:30 p.m.

Nesquehoning

Free dinner

There will be a free community dinner on Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Meed's Methodist Church on W. Catawissa Street in Nesquehoning. Spaghetti and chicken parmigiana will be served.
