Unhappy with LASD proposal

I attended (the Sept. 30) Lehighton School Board meeting.

I feel like you think sports, athletes, and athletics are more important than teaching and students learning.

I would like to know:

Where the new school building is to be built and why it is necessary?

Why sell the Shull-David building?

and why have you allowed prayer taken away from your meetings?

Our whole nation is in complete financial difficulty, and you want to burden us with millions and millions of debt, all the while our student council is trying to help our impoverished community by holding food drives. Makes no sense to me.

I'm afraid the poor leadership coming from Washington D.C. regarding spending and debt has spread right on down through our state leaders and finally to our school board.

At the risk of being politically incorrect ...

God, please help us all.
