Preschool story hour
The Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, offers a free, preschool story hour from 9:30-10:30 a.m. every Tuesday.
Stories, snacks and activities are provided for the children.
Summit Hill
Clean-up at St. Paul's
St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 123 W. White St., Summit Hill, will hold a church clean-up day beginning at 9 a.m Saturday. Help is needed raking leaves, cleaning gutters and cleaning the interior of the church. Volunteers are greatly appreciated.
SHCIO to meet
The Summit Hill Community Improvement Organization will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Historical Museum on West Ludlow Street.
Coaldale
Harvest Home begins
The annual collection of non-perishable food items will begin at the 9 a.m. Worship service Sunday, Nov. 3, at First Congregational Church, Coaldale. The food will be distributed to needy families before Thanksgiving.
The Women's Class will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the church social hall.
Nursing home services will take place at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6 at St. Luke's-Miners, and at 1:30 p.m. at MapleShade. Kids Klub will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Rehearsal for the Community Veterans Day Choir will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. All interested persons are welcome to attend the session and join in the singing.
The Community Veterans Day Service showing of pictures of area veterans will take place before Morning Worship on Sunday, Nov. 10. The service begins at 9 a.m.; however, it is recommended that people arrive early in order to view the showing. Special music will be presented by the Community Veterans Day Choir.
Everyone is welcome to attend the service and honor our veterans.
Praise Band coming
Free fun, food, and fellowship. The Praise Band from Allentown will perform at 6:30 p.m., Nov. 9 at the Coaldale United Methodist Church, Second and High streets, Coaldale.
