Divorces granted

Sergion Chavez Jimenez, 224 W. Rowe St., Tamaqua, was granted a divorce from Jill Fetterman, 319 E. Center St., Mahanoy City. They were married March 21, 2006.

Owe school tax

Panther Valley School District filed suits seeking judgments against two property owners who are charged with failure to pay school property tax.

A suit was filed against Apartments and Acquisitions, LP, of Allentown, alleging they owe $1,039.27 in back taxes on property at 171 Second St., and $1,150.82 on a property at 8 W. High St., both in Coaldale.

A suit was also filed against Jared Travis Day alleging he owes $942.38 on property at 264 E. High St., Coaldale.

Placed in ARD

Senior Judge D. Michael Stine placed three area people into the Accelerated Rehabilitated Disposition (ARD) probation program because this was their first criminal offense and it was not of a violent nature.

They were placed for 12 months and ordered to pay a $350 assessment fee to defray the cost of the program, a fee of $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, and a $50 monthly supervision fee while in the program. Placed in the program were:

George Thomas Geissinger, 64, of 227 Hunter St., Tamaqua, who also must perform 20 hours of community service. He was charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Michael Hobbs, with public nuisance.

Alexis Acosta, 18, of 225 Rear W. Blaine St., McAdoo, must perform 10 hours of community service and pay $100 to the Substance Abuse Education fund. He was charged by McAdoo Chief Jeffrey Wainwright, last April 13, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Andrea Scintilla, 32, of 9 James St., McAdoo, must perform 10 hours community service and make restitution of $98.50 to the victim. Scintilla was charged by McAdoo Patrolman Jeffrey Tanner, last April 19 with forgery, identify theft, and using a credit card belonging to Tyler Zawatsky.

Guilty plea

Justine Lockard, 26, of 310 Biddle St., Tamaqua, pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal conspiracy and receiving stolen property consisting of removal from R.E. Pierson Construction Company, Mountain Road, Blythe Township, on Aug. 24, 2012, cable equipment.

Judge John E. Domalakes placed him on probation for five years, and ordered he pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, a $50 monthly supervision fee, and make restitution of $700 to the victim. Lockard was cited by Trooper Melissa A. Kyper.

Todd Matthew Miller, 20, of Weatherly, who was cited by Tamaqua police last March 22 with driving under the influence (DUI) of a controlled substance, entered a guilty plea and was sentenced by Judge Domalakes to serve 72 hours to six months in the county Pprison with the sentence to begin Friday, Jan. 3, at 9 a.m., fined $1,000, pay $100 to MCARE fund, $460 to Schuylkill Medical Center, attend alcohol highway safety school, perform 10 hours community service, and when released on probation pay a $50 monthly supervision fee while on parole.

Mark Sagl, 28, of 22 Beach Lane, Nesquehoning, pleaded guilty to DUI of drugs and was sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to serve 23 months on probation, pay $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, $460 to Schuylkill Medical Center and a $50 monthly supervision fee. On a summary charge of failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic was fined $25 plus $50 costs.

He was cited by Rush Township Patrolman Corey Herring, last July 14 when stopped in Hometown.
