Graduates from Kutztown

Emily G. Hansler graduated magna cum laude from Kutztown University on Dec. 17 with a bachelor's degree in elementary/special education with a concentration in visual impairments.

She graduated with a 3.85 GPA and was awarded the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.

The 2012 Tamaqua Area High School graduate is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in the field of education. She attended Kutztown under the Scheller Scholarship.

Emily has been offered a position at the Overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia.
