Alan M. Kush Rotary Scholarship Award

Ryan Van Norman, president of the Rotary Club of Slatington, recently presented the Alan M. Kush Rotary Memorial Scholarship award to Allen Sipos, who will be attending Penn State University, Lehigh Valley Campus this fall.

Allen will be majoring in elementary education. He is the son of Marcy and Bruce Sipos of Slatington.

The Rotary Club of Slatington meets at the Blue Ridge Country Club every Thursday at 6:15 p.m., except during July and August, where the meeting is held at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center.

Slatington Lions Club

The Slatington Lions Club will hold its installation of officers at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at the Skeet Club Grove.

Lion Roger Mantz is celebrating a birthday June 19.
