Area couple wed 54 years
Mr. and Mrs. Truman Andrews of Franklin Township are celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary.
They were married on June 27, 1959 at St. Paul's Church, Big Creek, by the Rev. Paul Buehrle.
Mrs. Andrews is the former Joy Young, daughter of the late Stella Ahner of Lehighton.
Mr. Andrews is the son of the late Clinton and Marguerite Andrews of Slatington.
He is retired from Bethlehem Steel.
The celebrants have three children, Wendy Bussy-Williams, Marci Warnkin and Scott Andrews, all of Lehighton.
They also have three grandchildren, Alexander Hinkle, Steve Warnkin Jr. and Megan Warnkin, all of Lehighton.
