Graduates with honors
Lauren Marie Moyer graduated magnum cum laude from Villanova University on May 20. She is the daughter of Joseph and Melanie Moyer of Hometown and the granddaughter of Adele Lech of Coaldale and Mary Moyer of Tamaqua.
While at Villanova, Lauren was a Curvey Scholar, the president of the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society, an Ambassador for the Office of International Studies, a Peer Advisor in the Villanova School of Business, and a Peer Tutor in the Gamma Phi Business Honor Society. Lauren was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, and a member of the Villanova Mock Trial Team.
In the spring of 2010, Lauren spent a semester studying in Galway, Ireland, and traveled throughout Europe before completing a six-week internship in Dublin. This summer, Lauren and her mother will travel to China, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand as part of the Curvey Fellowship.
Lauren attended St. Jerome Regional School in Tamaqua and was the salutatorian of the Marian Catholic Class of 2008.
In the fall, she will continue her studies at Villanova Law.
