Tamaqua High School Class of 1946 gathers for annual reunion

The Tamaqua High School Class of 1946 held a picnic at Zimmerman's Grove in the Lewistown Valley recently, in celebration of its 66th anniversary. Class members in attendance included: front row, from left, Kathryn Lehatto Evans, Barbara Campbell Nowak, Joyce Kacik Vahovich and Jean Hochstetter Tonkin; second row, Richard Hartranft, Irene Billman Pecha, John Borzatti, William Fritz, Herb Curvey, Jules Dobbs, Floyd Zimmerman, Ruth Keilman Keller, Ben Keller and Catherine Jeffrey; and third row, H. Bruce Geiger, Chester Derr, Carl Heisler, Ed Kennedy and Joe Toth. The group plans to meet annually, with the next reunion scheduled for Aug. 3, 2013.
